3 Yummy and Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Kids

Getting your child to eat breakfast can be challenging! Children have lots and lots of excuses for not eating their breakfast. They just do not eat anything until and unless it is appealing and attractive. Being a mother, you can easily relate to the ordeal every mother goes through every day. They are attracted to junk food and often eat it all day long! But are their nutritional needs and requirements being met this way? Of course not! So how about Healthy Breakfast Recipes for  Kids that they would love to eat !!

Colourful food items attract the children whereas normal chapatti and vegetables can be boring and unattractive for them! But what if you can make healthy yet tasty food at home? As breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we must encourage our children to develop a habit of eating healthy breakfast every day! Tasty and Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Kids:

1. Veggie Paneer Sandwiches

Your child is just going to love this! You can serve this dish as a snack as well as give them in the lunchbox. It is tasty yet very healthy and full of nutrients.
All you need is:
-Whole wheat bread
-Butter
-Tomato sauce
-Potato(boiled, peeled and thinly sliced)
-carrot(boiled, peeled and thinly sliced)
-Onion(boiled, peeled and thinly sliced)
-Tomato(sliced)
-Paneer
-Coriander leaves
-Salt
-Black pepper
-Chaat masala

Preparation :
Now, you can divide the preparation into two parts:

For paneer filling:
-Mash paneer and add coriander, green chillies, salt and black pepper to a bowl.
-Mix them well to ensure even distribution using a spoon

Tasty Breakfast

For the Sandwiches
-Add 1 tsp oil in a pan and sauté onions until they become golden brown
-Apply some melted butter atop all the bread slices using a brush
-Place the paneer mixture on each buttered bread slices
-Sprinkle some chaat masala over it
-Place the peeled and sliced veggies above paneer and colour it with few drops of tomato sauce.
-Cover with buttered bread slices.
-Place the bread slices in the sandwich maker, or you can do it on tawa if you do not have a sandwich maker.
-And it is ready to be served with sauce or your favourite chutney.

2. Oats and Carrot Dosa

All you need is:
-Oats
-Moong dal
-Carrots(peeled and finely grated)
-Coriander leaves(finely chopped)
-Olive oil
-Salt
-Black pepper powder
-A pinch of ground cumin seeds
-Asafetida

Preparation :
-Wash the moong dal and clean it well
-Roast oats until they turn golden
-Soak moong dal with roasted oats in water for 20-30 minutes
-Grind the moong dal and oats using a blender or food processor until it turns to a fine paste
-Add salt, ground cumin seeds, black pepper powder, chaat masala and asafoetida and stir it well.
-Mix all the grated carrots and coriander leaves as well as adjust the consistency to make it like a pancake batter.
-Brush mildly with oil and heat a griddle on medium heat
-Pour the mixture into the middle of the griddle and spread it in concentric circles.
-Sprinkle some oil, then cover and cook for around 2-3 minutes.
-Now remove the lid and flip over and cook for two more minutes.
-Serve hot with delicious curd, sprinkle some chaat masala and chutney to enhance the taste.

3. Egg-Veg Muffin

All you need is:
-whole wheat muffin
– sliced tomato
-Fresh cream
-Semolina
-Vegetable oil
-Eggs
-sliced Carrot
-sliced onion
-Salt
-Ground pepper

Preparation:
-Chop carrot, tomato and onion and mix them in a bowl
-Add semolina, salt and fresh cream, mix them well
-Crack the eggs into a nonstick skillet and cook for around 2 minutes or until whites are almost set.
-Top each muffin with the mixture we prepared(onion, carrot, tomato, cream and semolina)
-Now, top each egg with a slice of cheese and cover the nonstick skillet for 1 minute.
-Now Slide one egg onto each muffin, and you can sprinkle some salt and black pepper, and it is ready to be served with sauce or chutney.
