Why Opt for a Natural Deodorant?

One might think that it is a lot easier to go to the market and buy deodorants. However, one must think about their health as the deodorants available in the market contain harmful ingredients that can cause various health problems. Some of these ingredients are listed below:

1. Aluminium

The deodorant that you buy at the store contains aluminium. It is a metal which is known to cause breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

2. Parabens

Paraben is a synthetic preservative that is used in most deodorants. Parabens are known to cause hormonal imbalances in the body and have also been linked to birth defects.

3. Propylene Glycol

Propylene Glycol is a petroleum based material. Studies have shown that if used in large quantities, it may damage the central nervous system, liver and heart.

4. Triclosan

This is another harmful chemical used in many deodorants which are classified as a probable carcinogen- which is a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue, by the Environmental Protection Agency.

So, one can see how much harmful it is to use an artificial deodorant; which is why it is best to make a natural deodorant at home and use it.

Sweating is a normal body function which cannot be stopped. However, that does not mean that people want to emit an unpleasant, offensive odour. One can get rid of the unpleasant body odour by making Natural Deodorants which do not cause any damage to the health.
