Dr Sumita Arora is a Gynaecologist at Aastha Maternity and Laparoscopy Centre, LDA -Lucknow. She has a rich experience of 21+ years in the field of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Dr Arora initiated laparoscopic surgery in Lucknow.

Dr Arora completed her MBBS from King George's Medical College, Lucknow University in 1996. Then, she went on to do her MD- Obstetrics & Gynaecology from King George's Medical College, Lucknow University in the year 2000.

Some of the services provided by Dr Arora are High-Risk Pregnancy Care, Laparoscopic Gynaecology and Hysteroscopy, Infertility Evaluation / Treatment, Menopause Advice, D&C (Dilation and Curettage) and Fertility Treatment.

Dr Arora has worked as a Clinical Assistant at Makkar Medical Center, Rajendra Nagar in the year 2000. She has worked as a Senior Resident at Queen Mary’s Hospital, KGMC from 2000- 2001. In the year 2002, she worked as a Research Officer at Queen Mary’s Hospital, KGMC. She has also served as a Specialist Gynaecologist/Medical Officer at Maternity Center (BMC), Aliganj from 2002- 2005.

In the year 2005, Dr Arora started working as a Consultant at Satguru Partap Singh Apollo Hospital and worked there till 2006.

Dr Arora has also worked as a Consultant and Head of the Department of Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at Vivekananda Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences from 2006- 2015. In the year 2011, she started practising as a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Aastha Maternity & Laparoscopy Centre and is presently providing consultation at the Centre.

Dr Arora was awarded Young Author Award for the Best Paper Published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India in the year 2002. Dr Arora won 3rd prize in Anatomy Dissection Competition at King George Medical College in the year 1991. She also received Honours in Ophthalmic -Surgery and Orthopaedics at King George's Medical College in the year 1995. She stood 2nd and was Awarded Paper in Medicine and Pediatrics at King George’s Medical College in April 1995.

In the year 2002, she won the Young Author Award for the Best Paper Published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India. Dr Arora was also awarded Diploma in Emergency Obstetric Care by the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Canada at the ALARM International Programme in the year 2004. Dr Arora organised a successful Laparoscopy Workshop as an Organising Secretary at Vivekanand Hospital, Lucknow in the year 2009. She has organised many workshops and Conferences at National and State Level.

Her specialisations include Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon (Obs & Gyn). Dr Arora is a member of Indian Society of Periodontology and Reproductive Biology, Indian Menopause Society (IMS), Indian Fertility Society (IFS), Lucknow Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (LOGS), Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Association of Private Gynecologist of Lucknow. Dr Arora can be consulted at Aastha Maternity and Laparoscopy Centre, LDA Colony, Lucknow from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM. She also provides consultation at the Clinic on Sunday between 10: AM- 2:00 PM.
