Two Lakh People Require Kidney Every Year

At Present more than Two lakh people require Kidney Transplant on an annual basis in India. However, less than 6,000 can undergo the kidney transplant operation due to a paucity of the organ. To address this problem, the Government has issued new guidelines to incentivise organ donations to deal with the problem. A point system has been designed to facilitate faster transplant to the needy as per the new policy laid down.
