5 Easy Steps to get a Home Made Facial

Step 1- Cleansing

The very first step in facial is cleansing. Firstly, wash your hands thoroughly as you will be using your hands to massage your face. Wash them with plain warm water and mild soap. If you apply makeup, then you have to remove your makeup. For cleansing, you can use facial cleansers which suit your skin type. Also, you can use raw milk to cleanse the face. You just have to simply dip cotton in milk and wipe your face with it to remove all your makeup and dirt from the face. Make sure you use circular upward movements while cleaning. After 2 to 3 minutes, you have to rinse your face with plain water. Make sure that you use a milky or creamy cleanser for dry skin types and oil-free cleanser for oily skin.

Step 2- Exfoliating

The second step for Home Made Facial is exfoliation. Exfoliation helps in removing dead and dry skin cells from our skin and gives a fresh, rejuvenating look to our face. You can use any store-bought scrub, or you can also prepare homemade scrub. You have to apply the Scrub to damp face and then massage gently on forehead, chin and nose. Make sure that you avoid the skin around your eyes as that part of the face is very sensitive. Regular exfoliation will help in reducing fine lines and wrinkles and will keep your skin much softer and younger.

Step 3- Steaming

The third step is steaming. You have to take a clean cloth and run it under hot water. Then you have to place it over your face and let it rest for five minutes. You have to ensure that the water is not too hot or else it will harm your skin. Alternatively, you can put hot water in a big vessel. Then place a towel on your head so that your head is fully covered, lean or lower your face over the vessel and capture the steam. Make sure that your head is covered entirely and also do not get too close as it might hurt your skin. You can also add a tablespoon of rose petals or lavender to the water to get a perfect cleanse. Steam for 10-15 minutes and take gaps in between. Then splash cool water on your face. If you have sensitive skin, you must consult a Dermatologist before taking facial steaming.

Step 4- Facial Mask

The next step in Home Made Facial is applying Facial Mask. Make sure that you Choose mask/packs which suit your skin type. If you have oily skin, you can use mud/clay mask as it helps in absorbing excess oil. For those who have dry skin, they can use a hydrating mask or creamy mask. While for those having sensitive skin, they can use a light gel mask. People who have a combination skin might need more than one mask to treat different areas. You have to place cotton soaked in rosewater or place cucumber slices on each eye and relax for 15 minutes. Wash with plenty of water after 15 minutes.
